Nice to meet you!
Hi, I’m Liz
For the past 8 years, I’ve been studying, teaching, and coaching people on nutrition and hormone health. It truly has become a passion of mine. I’ve worked with over 200 clients on their health journeys and found immense joy in sharing the knowledge I’ve gained over the years, as well as witnessing the transformations that result from it. But my story doesn’t start here, let’s take it back to the early 2000s when my idea of health was eating Special K, drinking Crystal Light, and doing endless amounts of cardio. When Kraft dinner, partying hard, and hoochie hoops were my go-tos 😉
When I was 19, I decided to move across the country, from Saint John, NB, to Fort McMurray, AB for a summer to make some money to pay for university. Let’s just say that little adventure turned into me staying in Fort Mac for 20 years and not going back to school until I was 30.

I found a career in the restaurant industry and made a great living. I loved the fast-paced social environment, though it eventually took a toll on my health. If you’ve ever worked in restaurants, you know what the lifestyle can be like: long shifts, late nights, high stress, and lots of partying. I knew I needed a change. After randomly deciding to go gluten-free and being surprised at how good it made me feel, I decided to explore the world of nutrition. So I enrolled in a Holistic Nutrition program with the Edison Institute of Nutrition. I immediately fell in love with the content and knew I had finally found my passion. Over the next 3.5 years, I started ditching Crystal Light, Special K, and Kraft Dinner (still wearing the hoops, lol), and I learned just how powerful nutrient-dense food and a balanced lifestyle can be. This transformation completely changed my life, especially my hormone health. Did you know that PMS isn’t normal? I sure didn’t. I always thought being an emotional wreck, having hurled over in pain cramps, and migraines every month was just part of being female—boy, was I wrong. This realization sparked my continued education to become a Certified Women’s Holistic Hormone Health Practitioner and a Certified Functional Health Practitioner.
With all of the courses I’ve taken and work I’ve done on improving my health over the years, the last thing I was expecting to hear were the words “you have cancer”. In April 2025, at 39 years old, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. But I do everything right, how can I have cancer? This completely threw me for a loop. I felt like a failure. I was so confused. In my confusion, instead of curling up into a ball and accepting my personal thoughts of failing, I went back to learning. I read books, joined Facebook groups, read studies, and asked questions. Now I know this can seem overwhelming for some, but for me, it was healing. I needed to understand what was happening to my body, and I needed even more to understand how to heal and prevent it from happening again.

Just after my diagnosis, I stopped seeing clients and focused on my own health. Having the time to focus on myself rather than put all of my focus into others made me realize just how precious life really is. And how quickly life can change. So, moving forward, the not-new but slightly improved me will dedicate my little corner of the internet, Life in Full Flavor, to the importance of living life to the fullest. To the importance of treating your body with love and respect through food and movement. And sharing a little on cancer, as this is only a small part of my big picture. Oh, and coming soon….a cookbook 😉
So thank you for being here. I hope my stories, teachings, and encouragement can inspire you to live a life full of flavor 🙂
