Some will say cancer has nothing to do with your lifestyle choices and that it’s just really bad luck, but I personally don’t believe that. And I’m not being hard on myself here, I didn’t know any better/chose to ignore the warnings, and that’s ok.

Although I have made some pretty massive changes over the years, especially with my diet and cleaning up my environment, the alcohol and stress remained constant, especially the stress. And these, I believe, were my biggest triggers….

~Ranch Crackers~

Since navigating cancer, I’ve gotten even more particular about what goes in and on my body. I do my best to avoid refined sugars, refined flours and products full of fillers. I’m certainly not perfect, I still love a good dinner out with dessert. And I love snacks. So, the foodie in me has gotten a lot of joy out of recreating some of my favourite snacks, meals and desserts made with better for you ingredients. And these ranch crackers did not disappoint.

Growing up, my great aunt always had these ranch-flavored Ritz crackers to share, and that flavor has stayed with me for 35 years. Inspired by her, I decided to create my own version with ingredients the body recognizes.

They are super easy to make, take almost no time, and taste incredible dipped in hummus—an effortless snack that’s sure to impress 😉
