What is a Castor Oil Pack: An ancient self care ritual innovated and modernized to help with lymphatic drainage and gentle detoxification.
The castor seed plant is native to India and comes from the castor seed Ricinus communis. When applied topically, it is absorbed through the skin into the tissues below. The pack helps drive the castor oil into deeper layers, increasing the lymphatic system’s circulation.
The lymphatic system is like the sewer system of the body. Toxins, infections, metals, dead cells and debris from all over the body are collected and cleaned by the lymphatic system, filtered through the liver, and eliminated via the colon. When our lymphatic system is not working effectively, waste and toxins can build up, leading to a weakened immune system, inefficient bowel movements, and inflammation.
With regular use, you’ll see an improvement in your sleep, bowel movements, digestion, and my favourite-menstrual cramps. They are also great for our immune systems, helping to naturally balance hormones, and support the nervous systems. Queen of the Thrones also has packs for your hair if you are experiencing hair loss or thinning, and for your thyroid. I was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto’s (autoimmune thyroid disease). I have been using the thyroid pack every week to help keep my thyroid healthy.

My suggestions: Start slow with 1 hour every other night, working your way up to every night as you can even sleep with them on. They can be too stimulating for some people, so I recommend starting slow. You should ease off a little if you are feeling sick or getting headaches from them. Slow and steady wins the race.
Wear some old clothes; they can be messy if you’re a restless sleeper.
You can add some heat for extra comfort as well. Just avoid any heat while you are menstruating.
If you use your pack regularly, you will want to replace it every few months.
You want to look for Organic Hexane free Castor Oil. Queen of the thrones is my favorite brand.
They may seem inconvenient initially, but adding them to your nightly routine can be a game changer for your overall health.
It’s all about building new habits, and this one is a habit worth investing in.
